Does it seem to be more than just a coincidence that Taurus Investment Holdings LLC invested in the "Knocking" film and purchased Watchtower real estate. It seems weird to me.

ok, this lad was raised by abusive/neglectful meth addicted parents till he was 10. he spent summers with his aunt.

he was tossed between friends and such and not able to read till he was out of the earliest grades.

so, at ten he lives with auntie witnoid.

I wondered about this also. Just how did the judge decide the boy was mature enough to make his own decisions? Because he presented himself well in front of the judge for a few moments? Was the boy given a crash course in courtroom acting by the HLC?
I remember being a kid, going over "no-blood" information and articles. They always had stories of kids who were able to impress courts with thier level of maturity and avoided blood. I always hoped that would never happen to me. Would I try to act slightly immature and have the court force me to have blood (oh, darn, they are going to save my life against my wishes). But how raging mad would my mom be that I wasn't a shining example of a perfect JW kid - then I would wish that I was dead. Fortunately, I never had to face the situation.

Nevertheless, I am fascinated to see that real live experts on zoology, veterinary medicine, palentology and other disciplines are taking
such claims seriously and finding evidence they are puzzled by. The History channel is doing some interesting programs on this.

having quit the jw's, i have found my past as a jw inconveniencing me in seemingly random situations.

finding a new hair stylist wasn't as hard as i thought it would be.

i need to get my teeth cleaned, but which office should i go to.

Having quit the JW's, I have found my past as a JW inconveniencing me in seemingly random situations. Finding a new hair stylist wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I need to get my teeth cleaned, but which office should I go to. The one that usually went to, where a Dub (my sister) works or just avoid her and choose his other location. And since I stopped attending meetings, my cuticles have been a mess! I no longer have 5 hours a week to massage cream into them. How about you all? What sort of unexpected changes have you noticed since leaving?

On the one hand I can relate to Joel. Being on the recieving end of intolerance, knowing what it feels like, makes you more sympathetic to other "oddballs'. On the other hand, like Junction Guy, Joel makes me want to puke. He completely misrepresents and distorts the ideals of JWs. To say that his mom is so tolerant because she never voted for someone anti-gay, what a laugh. He doesn't know what it is like to be a JW or a DF'd JW because he was never either.
